AFP Chief of Staff General Hermogenes Esperon will be retiring next month. Good. At least that's one less idiot for the country. But wait, I heard he's eyeing the defense portfolio. Uh-oh. That's one more idiot for the country. Other than that, he may seek public office in 2010, or asked to be appointed ambassador to some obscure country befitting his wits. For indeed, an ambassador is a person who, having failed to secure an office from the people, is given one by the administration on condition that he leaves the country.
